Khandbari is the district headquarters of Sankhuwasabha District in Kosi Zone of north-eastern Nepal. It is also a major town of Nepal and the town of many different races and ethnic groups. Khandbari Municipality was established in 2053 Magh 18 (B.S) by combining 3 VDC namely Manakamana, Pangma and Malta . Geographically Khandbari Municipality covers huge area , consists of total 11 wards having area 82 square kilometres .
